    Weird oil pressure gauge behavior.

I have the AC Autotechnics S7 oil pressure gauge installed on my ride. When I start me car up, it says 60psi. As soon as I press on the gas, it drops to 5psi and then starts rising at a linear rate to my RPMs; 15psi @ 2000RPMs, 25psi @ 30RPMs, etc. As soon as I hit the brakes and the car is either stopped or going slow enough, the psi shoots back up to 60psi. Does this happen to anyone else.

i'm guessing it's a mechanical gauge....... is it wired in correctly?

No, it's electronic and it's wired correctly.

just making sure.... i could forsee rising oil pressures with the increase of rpm, because obviously the pump is moving faster as rpm increases....... but the figures seem a little low (except for the random 60psi)
