I believe a major car magazine, maybe C&D, tested the wagon back in '93 or something. An article like that would be your best bet to find the info for the 8th and 9th gens.

its important because you want to know how much weight to remove from the front, or transfer to the rear in order to get a 50/50 weigh distribution. If you have it 50/50 you can reduce understeer. That's why most FWD cars in autox transfer their battery to the trunk.

one other way to reduce understeer is to go with thinner rear tires.

Dude... you're in LA. There should be 5 shops within a block radius of your house that can do it for you.

I drive mostly highways here in So Cal so understeer works for me. I sure as hell don't want to reduce understeer or increase oversteer at highway speeds.

F/R weight distribution is not a easily adjustable variable, especially on FF cars. The front wil ALWAYS be more heavy than the rear and the typical FF car has a 60/40 distribution. The option of corner balancing is only present in fully adjustable coilovers and even then you are only equalizing the weight via the preload on the springs to equalize suspension stroke, the actual weight distribution remains unchanged and that still plays a role when it comes to vehicle speed inertia. If what you are trying to do is reduce undesteer the best thing to do is; upgrade the rear sway bar, increase camber angle in the front, upgrade rear suspension control and trailing arm bushings, add pillow ball mounts to decrease dynamic camber (esp important in rear macpherson strut susp), and run staggered tire size (wider tires in the front vs. rear). But don't go overboard, oversteer is the LAST thing you want on a FF platform.

I think I eliminated most of the understeer from my car but it is still present.. I drove a semi-stock corolla the other day and I can honestly say the handling on my car is a bit better... just a lil;) If anyone ever pass by nor cal, they're welcome to test it out and see for themselves.

ok after 1/2 hour on the phone with toyota, i found one for my 8th gen.

    front:1433
    rear:992

if i can move 220 lbs to the rear I would have 50/50. of course thats not possible so probably moving the battery to the trunk and taking out the A/C would help bring it to about 55/45

so now time to figure out what to move where

Or you can just put 500bls of sand bag at the back. :D j/k

Get a CF hood and fiber glass fender, and add a gay heavy @ss 50lbs"GT wing" and dual muffler setup up, Then you will have better balance. :half joke: :D
