We just got new wheels for my '99 rolla

    Hey guys,

we just got 15" rims for the Rolla, and got whatever TownFairTire recommended for Tire size, which was 195/55/15. Now the Problem is that the Rear Fenders keep riding the tires when there is either A: People or lots of stuff in back or B: going over bumps and stuff. We were thinking it may be the struts need replacing since they were a bit bouncy, but I don't really think that is the case. Are my Tires too large? it's only in the back that we have the issue, the front is fine. Should I change the Struts/Coils and if I do would that help? the struts prolly don't need changing for at least another 25,000 miles so I don't really want to change them unless I have to. Also if I do what should i get the settings to be around and what should I look for? I really don't want to change the car appearance too much, i.e. Lowering or heightening it too much.

    Thanks Alot.

    Did you lower your car?
    How bouncy is the rear?
You can test the strut by press it on the rear and see how many times does it bounce. Once is good (press down, it bounce up, and maybe go down a little). If more than once, then your strut is bad and you need to replace it.

I'm also on 15" rota, I have 195/50/15 without problem.
Well, just do the math. buying 4 new tires (194/50/15) might cost you about $300-400. New performance strut is about $130 a piece.

Since your tires are new, I don't think it's good to waste another hundreds for new tires. I think you better go with new struts (if the struts are causing the problem here).
