Throw in a K&N drop in filter and call it a day.

You're not going to find one in good condition for much less than that. Just the fact that you found one, you should have bought it.

I bought it new for 200 and sold it for 200 several years later. lol How's that for retaining value? :) However, a simple K&N drop in filter with a removed resonator feels almost the same as having the ELP CAI in.

supposed to be a short ram, but since it's so long I have it pointing down into the transmission almost touching the tie rods

ive seen people make cold air intakes out of custom pipes from autozone but those were on different cars. im looking to do the same but im not sure how well it will work. i might end up just getting a short ram, but im still going to try and rig one up

I may be selling my ram intake because I might be moving to Mass and they do emission inspections there. Does anyone know if I will pass inspection with a Weapon R intake? I don't have any CELs. I shouldn't have sold my K&N drop in to Eric.

mine doesn't... but yet again... I dun have a catalyst either and the CEL never turns on (unless I hit a huge puddle and the O2 sensor dies for a moment)

Any reason why the AEM Cold air intake for a 2003 corolla won't work for a 00 - 02? If I had to guess, I would say it's too long?

Also, the best option for a performance intake on 8 and 8.5 generation corollas contrary to popular believe(drop in K&N) is
    This one:
1.) Legal in All states (except California)
2.) Dyno proven by K&N to give 8.75BHP at 6250rpm with no supporting modifications. Naturally, if you have more modifications, it will result in more hp at the crank.
3.) Most import engines respond to modifications in approximately the same way, dyno proven by import tuner. Over 20 different import engines give about 7 - 10hp with a short ram, 10 - 15hp with a full cat-back, 5 - 10 with headers and A LOT MORE with ECU programing and a tune.

Try things out for yourself and see the results = best method of research.

It's so time for a new car for me now... I'm tired of having to scrape up all the little bits of hp to make the car drivable.

I believe its because the fuse box in our 8th gens is bigger and positioned a little differently so it runs into that. It may also be too long i was thinking about picking a cheap 9th gen one off of ebay or something and trying to retrofit it.

Good idea. Keep us posted. I am thinking of TRD supercharger, with custom hood of course, instead of turbo, so i can keep my header, save me some money, keep whatever intake i purchase. Win Win.....well.....almost.
