Want to buy Silverstars for X-mas present...help

For my younger brother, i'm a little confused as to how many bulbs I need tho. According to Sylvania I need 2 9005ST and 2 9006ST and thats not yet including fogs! JeeZ. Now, is one the driving light and the other the headlights? If so, do youguys think it would be ghetto to roll with only headlights in silverstar? and which are they.

BTW Did you guys notice that they now make ST corner lamps in amber? They're pimp, give them a shot, a very deeeeep orange glow, and the bulbs are pearlescent coated, very nice.

    9005 are the high beams
    9006are the lows

I only have the low beams and, they were great at first but they seem to suck now, compared to HID. Also PIAA bulbs would be a better choice in my opinion 8)

You mentioned HID,s are you referring to TRUE HID's? Or HID-like bulbs. If TRUE, then how much is the conversion kit.

he means True HID's i have a 5000k kit in my car and let me tell ya, the silverstars compared to those look no different than regular halogens. although i'm still having glare issues but based on my observations, i think a black housing headlamp should greately reduce that, i'll keep everyone interesed posted as soon as i get my lamps.

if you are planning to get the silverstars, i would suggest you to get Piaa XtremeWhite or Xtreme Force instead
Piaa bulbs look more of the bluish white
and silverstar looks more of a purplish white
i have both on my car b4 but personally i like piaa more

I know that theoretically bulbs are supposed to be clean right out of the box, but I've been skeptical, so I always prep the glass surface with some alcohol before installing. I have the same modified (9005) silverstars that came out of another car and they've been operation for 15 months. I'll keep my fingers crossed....
