Engine volt meter and oil pressure gauge

    volt meter and oil pressure gauge

    im going to buy a volt meter and oil pressure gauge and wanted to know what else i need to hook it up. im only doing these two gauges and thats it. thanks

    You need a 1/8" BSP to 1/8" NPT fitting for the oil pressure gauge. The fitting that comes with the gauge is typically 1/8" BSP, whereas the fitting on the engine blocks are 1/8" NPT. The threads are very close, but if you go to tighten a BSP fitting on your car, you will strip it. If you want to retain your factory oil pressure switch (the little dummy light on the dashboard), then you will also need a brass T. Usually Autozone or Advanced Auto will have the metric fittings in a packet...

    That's about all I can think of.
