vip 3000 piezo beeper

    vip 3000 piezo beeper

    where can I get a new piezo beeper for the factory alarm system. Looks like the one I have it shorting out. If I get one at radio shack will it have the same sound and everything?

    Luckily - most of this alarm stuff is universal or parts can be easily replaced with others. You can get piezo sound transducers with all kinds of intensity, power rating and tone - just figure out what frequency and power the factory sound is to get one to match (dealer should know, might even be stamped on the alarm/piezo case). Also get one that is enviromentally ruggedized - so it will last longer under the hood or where you mount it.
