All the reviews for XRS were posted by me on this site so I have only seen high praises for the interior. Of the 6 reviews I posted, 5 were very positive and one gave it a mere good because he thought the performance was not up to his expectation.

The beeper felt almost weird when the salesguy sitting on the passenger side did not wear seatbelts and somehow he did not remember. We were both trying to figure out why it was beeping. More interestingly, the beeper sounds like the time bombs in the movies....LOL It progressively gets louder and more frequent just like when the bomb is about to set off in the movies
:) It was kind of jarring. Anyway, if you read the second of the reviews I posted above, there were TRD people at the Toyotas promotional test driving campaign who the reviewer claimed unofficially said there is a supercharger in the works for the 2ZZ engine, which will deliver 235 HP and a lot more torque would be available at 4000 RPM. Although, it is a high compression ratio engine, everything is controlled by computers so it is not impossible.

I have an XRS and I love it, the only thing complaints that I've heard about the car are from the tuning industry, they don't like the engine because of it's lack of torque and difficulty in tuning (i heard this on a Celica forum and it leads me to believe that it's just a celica gt owner who's jealous because he wants more power). My only complaints are the shifter, which is a personal thing because I'm used to a 350Z shifter which has lliterally a 3 inch throw and my XRS has like a 6 inch throw which leads to me not quite getting it in gear sometimes so when i let off the clutch it pops out into neutral (this is just an individual problem), and all the beeping that it does (when in reverse and when you don't have your seatbelt on).

Yeah, you can disable those. There is no problem with that. As stupid as it sounds, Toyota does not do it for you since they deem all those beepers safety precautions. Not sure how it affects the warranty.
