    undercar neon.....i have a question

i live in pittsburgh, it's been pretty cold lately. but it's been warming up some, so i tried my undercar neons and the front on came on but the side ones sorta came on but dimmed out? i have been trying these for about a week now. sometimes the side ones will partially light or partially light then flicker/dim out.

but every time the front one comes on and stays on?????

    can anyone help?
is it because they are longer on the sides?
    wiring?

What kind of kit do you have? If you just have a normal underbody kit, the best thing for you to check is the wires that you're running. Make sure that the the wires are securely attached to the transformer, or whatever device is used to supply the power to them. Exposed wiring, loose wiring, and anything else of that sort can cause problems. Secondly, are you running a high-powered audio system in your car? Your audio system may be drawing away a lot of power. If possible, try disabling the power to your audio systems and see if the lights continue to dim out. I'm not sure of exact wattages, but neons eat up more energy than LEDs. So maybe you can try out an LED underbody kit instead if this is the case. And finally, the first step that should have been done before mounting the kit was to do a test. I tested my LED underbody kit before putting it on and discovered that one section of LED lights wasn't coming on. Saves a lot of time and trouble. Anyway, if all else fails, take all your lights off WHILE KEEPING THEM ATTACHED TO THE POWER SOURCE, lay them out side by side (parallel), and turn them on. It is best to do this in the dark because it will allow you to see brightness/dimness very easily. If the front tube is not discernably brighter than the side tubes, then the dimness is probably just your imagination. Since they're mounted under the car, and depending on their location, it can cause less light to actually hit the ground or at least, less light to actually be perceived. But like I said, this is only the final option. Check everything else first. And if the last step don't work, I'd say return that kit and try another one.

P.S. Could you get a pic of where you mounted your front tube? I've been thinking about repositioning my front tube cuz I can see the tube itself and I'd prefer to try to keep the tube hidden.
