the BMW was awesome... but it takes a good driver to get that thing to go that fast... like someone said, drag racing is for fast cars, auto-x is for fast drivers... but that sc300 sure is a freaking fast car...lol...

Probably running no cats and no resonators - same deal as rally cars and other road course/oval/circle track cars. Ever notice when they shift you get a puff of fire coming out of the exhaust. That would be cool to see on the road - probably scare the hell out of people that drive next to him.

Good links on other modded Lexus cars - Chris Threadgill's SC300 on there as well. Pretty nice cars there.

actually he was backfiring because (almost positive hes running the aem) he is shifting under WOT. there is a system built into the aem where you never have to lift when shifting. the srt4 has this as well. now dont get freaked out, he isnt redlining it and hitting the limiter.... the backfiring is the computer hold the revs at a certain level and maintaining boost between shifts. yes, similar to rally cars.....

oh.... thanks... so that would be a power shift that he's doing right? shifting without releasing the gas and just kicking the clutch?

pretty much, yeah. but the computer augments timing to hold a constant rpm and keep the turbo spooled while shifting. like i said, the srt-4 has is stock.

^^^^I've heard of that for motorcycles, but I've never heard of that for a car...that's neat.
