What is wrong with that turbo kit. As far as I can see it has a good turbo with good components. I mean other then the manifold, turbo, fuel management and BOV its just a buncha hoses and tubes right?

go custom.. there's hosts of problems with the kits available online..

www.turbokits.com is just a bad place to go, you may get a turbo adn some piping, but there's absolutely no R&D going into those kits.

Actually, he's got an 05 so he can't even use the TRD SC since the ECUs have changed from the 03 - 04. You might be able to use it in conjunction with a Greddy eManage to handle the fuel management, but you'll lose your warranty.

Custom kits cost a lot. Heh. Mines costing me a lot, but I know I have all good quality parts for my setup. The hardest part is trying to get all the research for what parts you'll need as wellas finding them all for a good price.

If you can get Magnuson, which is the company who makes the TRD S/C I believe, make a custom S/C to work with your setup, there are other companies that make performance bolt ons for our 9th gens. The S/C is less maintenance intensive and much more daily driver friendly, especially crusin around town.

You right though, TRD doesn't make many performance mods for our cars for the U.S., but in Japan they have plenty of TRD mods available, but TRD is way more expensive and there are many "better" ones out there. TRD has kits, but if you use them you lose your warranty anyways, in that case a warranty is the last of your worries.

Good luck.

i just found this site the other day. www.importperformanceparts.net/ They carry a lot of stuff for the corolla. From engine kits to turbo kits. It seems that the company Turbo Specialties also makes one for our cars. Only thing is that the kit is only $1619 so it makes me kinda iffy. Whats ur take on this?

    Hey Tamago,

This is Jesse from Turbo Kits.com. You claim that Turbo Kits.com is a bad place to go. Is this first hand expierence? I just want to make sure that you are giving the people on this board 100% legit info. Customer service is our #1 priority and I take it personally when someone makes statements like you have. We never want a custom to feel ripped off in anyway.
