Yeah sorry about that....We dont have a 1/4 mile track close by and everyone goes by the 1/8th around here...Still though, that's kinda decent.

See.. I still have an issue where if I boost over 7.5psi, I get detonation... I dont know if its internal motor damage, an air/fuel issue, or what.... My alcohol injection wasn't working before, but it is now... I'm running 91 octane and intercooled.... Guess I'd need to get it tuned on the dyno to figure out what the deal is.

Yeah man...Check air/fuel and you need to run 93 with a turbo dude! I started putting that in about 3 weeks before the turbo and haven't looked back since. You need the highest octane you can get. Hook that thing up and check A/F. You may have the same problem I was having. What injectors do you have in there?

The highest octane u can get from the regular gas stations out here is 91... I'm running on stock injectors. Keep in mind that Sean2Sean is running at 11psi on stock injectors too.

Injectors are your problem. Dude, I put camry injectors in and it made a world of difference! The stock injectors can't handle that. You are really robbing your engine of fuel and that's very very bad dude. You had better act on it quick b/c it's just not enough fuel!

    TurboRolla outta the shop!

I finally got the car out of the shop. The stage 3 clutch isn't as hard as I thought it would be but I still am in the "break in" period. It grabs very hard though.

I had to get a new tranny b/c mine was shot and the gears were just too expensive. I got a used tranny for $400 and it feels new now. I am excited and plan on getting it to the track and dyno next week!

I will keep you guys posted and HOPEFULLY I can break into the 9.20's. That's my goal! And maybe I will get some video footage of myself on the track and/or on the dyno.

Thanks man! :D I will get some up soon as I can!

About the injectors, I am not sure which engine it is... I know it's the 2.4L though. Yes they fit perfect and are about 50% bigger. I got them free. A friend of mine works at Toyota and he got some off an engine they had in the shop.

My Jetta 1.8T reccomends 91 octane, but I used 94 all the time. You can feel it run better when you do that. I ran 110 octane a week ago and the car ran amazingly! Try octane booster or something to get rid of the detonation

It's not so much the octane as it is the injectors. You're Jetta is a stock turbo car, the injectors in it are bigger to accomadate it...Our Rolla's arent. INJECTORS, INJECTORS! LOL

Hell yeah...nothing but 93 in mine, b/c 94 isnt available around here.
I find it funny when people on vwvortex ask if they can run 89 in their turboed cars.....they can buy a 25k car, but want to save a few pennies on lower octane fuel??? Argh.

I would have to say its no different than a Honda or Sub setup as the eManage integrated with the injector system the same on all those makes. Hope that helps.

I think that those camry injectors are either 340cc or 360cc. BTW, the stock Corolla size is 260cc.

I am sure that the injectors that are in my car (00 Rolla) are 260cc b/c I looked it up on the net, after I heard from Vamp to make sure.

Supra injectors (although 550cc, will not fit. They are not the same size and will not fit the stock Corolla fuel rail.

I am not exactly sure which Camry the new injectors came out of. Maybe it was a newer one. Whichever one has the 2.4L V6.

    there is no 2.4L V6.

tehre was a 2.5L V6 that was on teh gen2's, it's called the 2VZ-FE, that's what in my camry :)

also, the current 4-cylinder is a 2.4L 2AZ-FE, it's also used in the tC, i'd guess that's which one u're talking about. that has been in the camry since 02, and is the 4-cyl that's in all gen5's
