Okay the banter is all cool, but if possible let's try to keep on topic, meaning registry info only. Thanks! :D

Indeed, running lean you squeeze mad power as the explosion inside the chamber is more intense. (the ole why a gas tank will explode empty before full theory if you need help knowing why) Anyway... I'd believe it - I know when I ran lean once, my car screamed like a raped ape - however it skurred me. :)

 OK Mr. Moderator...Just incase you didn't know though-there are not many turbo'd Corolla's on this board so this would be a very short thread if we did that...

What are you smoking? ANY turbo car needs to stay away from being lean! Yes, you can be too rich, but that's what tuning is for...But you never want to be lean.

when i say it likes it lean is that as it leans out it actually makes more hp... i know that you dont want it lean... i was just stating that itll make more power lean

I'm running a 3bar w/ 650cc injectors hehe - i could run higher but i dont want to fry my internals before I finish my new motor. Patience is what I have to keep preaching to myself. lol

hey, I noticed that only the exhaust side of my turbo is garrett..........the compressor housing says AIResearh.hrrrmmm....did SF screw me...what is AIResearch? Oh and how do I find out what size turbo it is....other than just T3? It was supposed to be a Garrett T3 .48 exh, .60 int ...but like I said...the compressor housing isn't even stamped garrett. the exhaust side is though.

Stafford buys rebuilt turbos... That is why your turbo says AirReaserch on it and not garrett.

The answer is Garrett-Air Research are the same company. Some of the older turbos have the Air research name and the newer ones just have the Garrett name. I don't think you got screwed (at least not in that respect). but you may have a turbo older than you think it is.

Wow....I never knew that!......no wonder I've never hear ov Air Research. Look in my sig.....at the turbo...see how it's flanged instead of a pipe...I don't like that....I'd rather be able to use a coupling there.

my garrett is flanged on both compressor openings... so be happy bout yours lol...

I thought garrett and air research were different companies?? didnt know they were the same... but there pieces are interchangable

    no big deal
