Thanks for the post Mike. Glad to see you're posting on here again. People are still interested in your kits and hopefully you can clear up any uneasyness they may have about running one.

Good to hear from you Mike... car runs decent, except it pings a little bit at higher boost.

the new pipe took care most of the problems that i had. less stalling. but for some reason it lags still. ie) drive the car for 30 min, stop engine for 15sec, restart engine and get on gas pedal... and it lags big time. any ideas why? it doesnt do that when i warm up the car though. for like a min or two.

alcohol injection nozzle, still gets plugged up. works good when i dont have the ball and spring in there. can the ball and spring be removed? or is it there for a good reason? OR can i use a nitrous oxide dry nozzle? will it work better?

and hows that sleeved 1zzfe engine working for you guys? any updates or progress on that one?

Its good to see that you have posted here to help people like myself understand things better.
I still have my doubts about getting your kit, mainly in the Customer Service and Reliabilty.

    turbo system

WOW haven't been here in a while .I kinda feel like i owe this site an apolige i offered to build a turbo system for the 98-02 corrola in nov. of last year.well i probly soulden't have because i was already so busy w/ hondas and celicas, but i did anyway. well it took alittle longer to finish the first one (seantosean),but it ran perty good it had some small quarks like stalling on stop and go left turns. because sean lives an hour away and we couldn't duplicate the problem at the shop whitch makes it hard to solve. The second kit was jeff (2001rolla).there where differrences it the cars that i was unawhere of and i didn't due the installation at the shop jeff did it himself.well since there where know instructions with the kit and there where fittment issues and tunning issues due to different computers in the two cars .jeff was pissed, can't say i blame him.so after driving a 100ml to his house and working on his car twice free of charge he still wasn't happy with my service and he wasn't willing to work with me on continuing the project .so he sold the kit to brian(racing solution).brian brought the car to me to install the kit we fixed the rest of the fitment issues and the tunning below 7 psi.over 7 psi the car was going to need timmiing retart or alcohol injection we use the alcohol injection. but do to an over sight by me the tip got pluged and it wasn't delivering the anti-detonation fluid we expected.this caused the car to detonate at sealevel well we finally solved that problem and as far as i know the car is running fine.
i have said all this to say this.i have seen all kinds of remarks about quallity on materials to in adiquit fuel supply.the kit is made of high quality mandrel bent i/c piping powdercoated for extra protection, the header is made of a half inch flange on the head side and the turbo side the runners are a four into one design not a log an are 200thousands thick thats 50thousansds shortod a 1/4 inch, the intercooler is a tube and fin design w/extuded inner fin for flow and cooling, the down pipe is 2 1/2" and bolts to the stock exh.Now for the fuel system still many do not understan its funtion so i'll try and expain it indepth.these motors(1zz)do not have a return fuel system it has a dead end system.this means the fuel pressure is presset and not refranced by vacuume or pressure.because of this design for every pound of boost you put in the manifold you lse one pound of fuel pressure.let me explain if the base fuel pressure is 45 psi on a standard 1zz that means on the exit side of the injector the fuel is coming out at 45 psi,but if there is 10 psi in the manifold it has to overcome the boost to get in the manifold. 45psi-10psi=35psi .now you have 22%less fuel and 70% more air and on top of that under boost you need to run richer a/f ratios know you can over come this with bigger injectors and an e-manage(for example) this gives a 20% +or - on injector pulse this will work just fine it might run a little rich in the low rpm if you get to large of injector, but you going to need at least 22% larger to meet your fuel requirements. keep in mind the more boost you run the more fuel pressure you lose the bigger injector you are going to need.To solve this problem we deleloped a risiing rate regulator for a none returnline fuel system this is a proven way to supply fuel perportionetly to the amount of boost to meet the fuel requirement without changiing the pulse width we couple this with a ss programmable fuel controller to get accurate fuel curves without changiing the injectors .we prefer this method for moderate (6-11psi) steet cars as it leaves the non boost tunning exactly as it was for driability.
i hope this clears up any misinformation or questions about our turbo system we have been very busy trying to keep up with orders and after the last instance with the pre-03 corrola we where considering dropping this kit altogether but, someone who seen seans kit perswaded me to give it another run and after his install we will probly offer the kit agian.untill then i'll be happy to answer any forced induction questions you might have.
oh and jeff i know you've decided to do your own kit and thats cool too.i feel bad the way things whent down before if there's something i can due to help let me know.

To be completely honest I wont buy a kit(and I definetly have the money) until I hear some good things from customers, not shop owners.

You should have just brought your car to Tuscaloosa and let Jamie at Venture Racing do your kit. That's who did mine! :D
