    Turbo is in Gents! 7A-FTE

After about 2yrs and $6k, the turbo is finally in and up and running! Talk about sweet. Nice and quiet and then also loud at the same time. My dream finally came true. It runs off the greddy emanange. Many thanks to my friends, Mike, Derrick, Carlos, and John for all the help with the install. And of Course a huge thanks to my Sarah, for putting up with me through it all!

    Well fellas, here it is!

EIP tuning in Westminster is who Id recommend for dyno...its off of Route 40..ask for Rich, really cool guy.

EIP had really turned their business around, for the better, in the last few years. Theyve done some work on my passat recently..... :D :D :D

Yes, Laura if you come by on tuesday it will be there b/c im installing new stiffer motor mounts. Eric, I am trying to avoid EIP Tuning b/c of the fact that two years ago, I went up there to get an oil pressure gauge and a/f ratio gauge installed and they took 2 days to do it. Not to mention they hooked it up to the wrong wires, and I had to go back and fix it myself. So unless you are really confident in your boy, I dont need them messing up my motor. If you would like to go there with me to make sure I dont get f'ed over, that would be cool! Well if anyone wants to check out the motor, just let me know when you have some free time and I will try to meet up with you somewhere. As for running mike, i'll hit you up when i'm tuned.

EIP has really turned over a new stone in the last few years....I avoided them like the plague too at one point. If you ever decide to hit up the shop, let me know.

you know I heard soo many bad things about them but if you say they are better... i dunno...

All the places ive seen and been to in maryland honestly suck.... Im eventually just goign to rent the dyno and try to tune it myself... I paid a decent ammount at altered atmosphere which wasnt to bad even though I heard bad stories....

The problem is he tuned it a/f which resets on our cars... so I need to retune....

Maybe we can get a few people who need to tune and pool our money and rent the b*tch for a day or something!

What turbo do you have on there? Any idea what power it might be making? 200whp would be great.

That's hot. I've heard about 5 psi is all the 4afe and 7afe can handle without forged internals. Anyone else heard differently? Just curious how much power we can get out of it.

10psi daily driven by some people.... 12psi on the track has blown motors

BUT it all depends on what turbo you're running, what the cfm rating is, how much pressure, and how well it's tuned.....

little tip here.... don't hit your BRAKES on the dyno.... let the weight of the water & rollers slow your wheels down

i'm guessing that was somewhere around 130whp?

what are you talking about? as soon as he drops in his forged pistons and rods, he'll crank it up and get much more power. he can't run it very high right now because his transmission is in need of a rebuild first (it's slipping at high RPMs).

I think vortex is running 236WHP. I know LosX is running 230WHP at 7psi. Man does my car feel uber slow when I'm driving behind him.
