well, the peopl over at monkey wrench racing seem to think i'll be making around 200 wheel hp, but i can also tell you this is almost $500 more expensive than the supercharger setup when everything is added up. but making like 40 more wheel HP may be worth it.

well, i doubt I'll have more hp than blk03rolla has, but hes done a ton of stuff other than just the supercharger. From what i've read and seen, a turbo will make vastly more power than the blower, just because you can intercool it.

Well in general... Turbo makes high end HP and Super Charger makes low end TQ.

Turbo dose have a lot more potential but SC has nice low end power and its there and ready whenever you punch the pedal, dont have to wait for spool up

well thats just my 2 cents.

I dont have my baby for a few days now, the turbo is being installed as we speak. The thing is the turbo is literally 3 inches from the block, so the exhaust is RIGHT THERE to spool up the turbo, plus its a ball-bering T-25 turbo, which is really small, so I should have full boost by very low RPM. I would really love to compair it to the blower, someone with a supercharger go to the track and lemme know what u run :)

Well, a little update on the kit. I went to the shop today, and the only things on that kit that fit our car is the manifold and the turbo. They need to make a custom downpipe, charge pipe, and a new bracket for the wastgate. The intercooler i bought didnt fit so i think we're gonna use an MKIV supra intercooler... i took some pics, and i'll post them as soon as i get them developed.

just another update... we used an MKIII supra intercooler, and it looks sweet in there. Everything else is coming together, except we needed to order $250 worth of custom piping bend for the intercooler, which is a bitch to plumb. If you do end up making your own turbo kit, make sure you get an intercooler with both inlet and outlet on the same side, otherwise you're going to need like 8' of pipe which will cause turbo lag out the ass and a nice pressure drop. The car should be compete on tuesday, so I can let yall know how it is then.

Ok, one more update. Went to the shop today, i will have my car back tomorrow, and will have pictures posted here at the end of the week or next week. Everything is hooked up, all thats left is to tune the car. The piping for the intercooler is insane. If you notice, you cannot run piping anywhere along the left side of the engine, without running all the way around the entire engine, and having like 8' of pipe. So the intercooler piping is amazingly wound all on one side of the engine bay.

I would recommend that NO ONE buy that kit that I bought. Its definity made for an MR2, and the only thing that worked was the manifold. The turbo had to be moved, and an entirly new downpipe created. They made a 2.5" downpipe that replaced the cat...so i have a 2.5" pipe running from the turbo all the way out of the back of the car, with a straight through magnaflow at the end. I'll give everyone driving impressions tomorrow...I'll probably have to run like 5psi until i get bigger injectors though...but i think at 5psi, i still will be able to take any of you supercharged autos (I have an auto), and maybe a few of the manuals. I'll post more info soon.
