    trust...

i hate when people lie to you, baldfaced...and when it's so easy to catch them, but you can't, because you're busy protecting other people in the situation.

i hate when one of the few people you TRUSTED becomes an enemy by lying to you so continuously that you can't see where the truth is, if it even exists.

i hate knowing that i have to cut off a friendship with someone just because they feel the need to lie so much, and think they can actually get away with it.

it's even more disgusting when the person who's lying is considered a RESPECTED member of a community.

this is one of my pet peeves...i hate it when people lie to me. i don't lie - i have been known to stretch the truth on occasion, but i don't lie to people without admitting it shortly after. maybe it's because i know i can't lie for shit, and don't feel like wasting the energy.

does anyone else have this problem? is anyone else dealing with a buttload of drama, and don't know where it came from? has anyone else had the blanket of trust suddenly ripped away, showing who people really are?

saying the solution is easy...that's a simple matter of cutting people out as they prove themselves lacking in trustworthiness(is that a word? lol).

however...enacting this solution is far harder...especially since i trusted this person for nearly 2 years. it hurts knowing that i've gone out of my way for this person on more than one occasion - when said person hasn't really gone out of their way for me.

Easiest solution is not to lie period.

Heh, I think I could count on my hands how many times I've lied in my life... and 90% of them I got caught in, lol - I'm a terrible liar.

I can scheme like a mofo tho. :)

Nah, no problem. You know Id say if I did.

RD doesnt need any more drama than it already has. Except it seems that things HAVE died down some on that board lately....I think that board goes through its swings though.

    i know you would say something...but that's why i asked :)

and yeah...the drama over there has died somewhat because the real troublemakers are banned...there's still a shit-ton of underlying drama and backstabbing.

Ive decided just to not associate myself with people I don't trust anymore. Until recently I've let others issues bend me out of shape.

If they lie to you, just don't trust them or stay away from them. Is this also in person or online. I started the "philosophy"(lol) of not sharing my issues with anybody unless its in person. Rarely on AIM.

well Sean, it's funny when stuff starts to backfire, or get spread around about a person behind their back...and when you only see some people online, that's the only way you can get ANY information about them. it's a shame, really...people find it so easy to betray trust online. i don't get why people feel the need to change themselves when they get behind a keyboard.

i think at this point i'm just going to trust the people i actually see in person more frequently than once in a blue moon, unless they've NEVER betrayed my trust in the past. i'm not quite sure how many people fit into that category...i know there are more who don't than those who do.

YAY time to start cutting ties :(

yeah trust is a hard thing to gain and an easy thing to lose. I really dont share my feelings / issues with anyone but my closest friends and a few others that I know can't pass it along in such a way that it would cause drama for me. I guess ive been lucky.

Sometimes the thing you least want to do is whats best.

I've been cutting ties with a few others. Sometimes the we connect then cut again heh, Heather is a good example of that.

i'm not like that...when i tell a person i will never speak to them again, i mean it.

Heather, Jesse, and a few others fit that description.
