Troublemakers On This Board

i haven't noticed anything new

Two things to be sensitive about, politics and peoples' cars, of course there is going to be some nasty comments towards people on those boards.

I'd like to think that when it came to politics the discussions we have e_andree, although heated, have been respected....hope you aren't referring to me as a troublemaker, but rather someone who enjoys having arguementative discussions with you. Granted in those threads there is always has to be some asshole who makes personal statements against others. Example being the one guy (too lazy to look it up) that starts calling me stupid because I don't like Halo 2...what the heck is up with that....

I never really see the mods on anymore and if I do, its skyace.

I think mods should be changed every 6 months.... And No, I don't really want to be a mod here again lol.

The political threads are hard to keep in check because people will complain about you violating their "freedom of speech" if you delete posts, edit the thread, etc... I HATE having political threads on a forum I mod because people tend to get carried away (me included). When it comes to racing, people will aways flame and get nasty. No stopping that.

Since I don’t frequent the boards as much as I use too, I have no clue what is really going on. I can honestly say there are like 10 people on the site every time I visit. The forums in my opinion are dead. The most active one seems to be the track. I have read nothing but bull shit in the track/race forum, so I basically just don’t read that anymore. I know were supposed to be nice to the no0bs, but damn. I don’t want them spamming our forum. We probably need more mods. Just so we can delete the repetitive shit. “Civic vs. Corolla”111!!1!1, unless you have a video, no one really cares anymore. Just check out Car and Driver Magazine or Edmunds. They do countless tests on them each year to see which one they think is better. I am, in no way biased towards one Car Company.

As far as the political threads go, you are going to believe in what you want and arguments are going to arise. As far as flaming goes with races…I think some people still live in the “Fast and Furious” world. Just because you have an exhaust and you are at the red light, doesn’t always mean the car next to you wants to race. More than likely, that person is driving their car normally and the owner of the Corolla is trying. This is where I believe people get their phony race stories. (i.e. My dads WRX can beat my car and my brother’s car, driving normally) A mod needs to have a “Sticky” thread stating, “Don’t waste our fucking bandwidth with you stupid lies”, or something along those lines.

And another pet peeve I have, if you want to post something about a car but your not sure of the specs, just check www.edmunds.com, they are listed out for ya. I don’t know how many people on this board I have had to tell, but the V6 Accords prior to 2003 never came in a manual form.

I know I am sounding like a jack ass, but when I talk to people I know about cars, making up shit doesn’t make you look or sound cooler, it means you’re a dumbass.

I think the mods should also have a minimum number of words that can be posted.

Trust me, I'm not scared of anyone being pissed off at me. I just haven't had a whole lot of time to be a mod on here because I've had a LOT of personal stuff that I have been dealing with, and I'm trying to get everything back on track.

Eric and all of the other vvti'ers...all of the topics that you've brought forward have been taken care of, and 2 problem causing members have now been banned. I hope that helps. If people can let me know, I'll be sure to take care of things until a new moderator gets assigned, I just need to know if people see a problem thread because honestly, I don't read EVERY thread on this board.

wow, i just stumbled across this thread. who exactally do you have a problem with andree? now that i just got full time, its hard to be on here 24/7 like i used to be, but i still read the stuff that goes on. ive deleted quite a bit of pollitical threads that got nasty as well as some others posted by fireredcobra.
