    TRD vs. TWM short shifter

    Which one is better?

Also, I know the TRD setup replaces the whole shifter assembly. How does the TWM compare and what does it include?

I have a fidanza shifter, which is almost exactly like the TWM (only like $80 cheaper). It came with solid bushings for the base, and it works great. The only other part you'll need to buy is an e-clip (just go to autozone, they're cheap). Total install time for me (I took my time with it) was somewhere around an hour.

You must be using the TRDstyle color setup for the board. That text doesn't show up for some reason in the Dark Blue color setup..

Mine was about $50 shipped. Look for 00-05 Celica GT shifters on eBay.

i recommend geting some shifter bushings as well.. improves shifting feel dramatically and replaces those worn out rubber bushings.

there was something about twm not being a "true" short shifter and trd being one. Ill try to dig up the thread, but this was in regards to 03+ corollas, and i guess you have a 94?

I have the TRD. It is becoming notchy and grinds especially going to 3rd gear occasionally. Is this normal or is something wearing out? I installed it about 20k miles ago.
