    TRD Trunk Lip Spoiler

Since I probably won't be making replicas of it, I figure I should just put it onto my car then, paint it myself.

The problem is, I can't decide on how to put it on.
I understand that there's 3M tape on the back, but for sure that's not gonna hold for very long. Silicon glue and gorilla tape would probably fuck up the paint when I want to take it off in the future.
My only choice right now is to drill it in, so I'm not sure where to drill in.

on the pre-drilled models it sits down and left of where you have it now, almost centered.

Tape it man, your gonna hate yourself after you drill the holes in your trunk. If your gonna do it do it in a alternative one don't do it on the primary. Plus the tape are really really tuff you would really have to fight it to actually take the spoiler off. (i tried) just be sure to be prepared when you are about to tape it.

also are those replicas? because my trd spoiler has pre-drilled slot and a Molly Design sticker on it

Don't worry about it falling off. 3M tape is what the factory uses to attach emblems and side moldings. I don't see those things falling off.

i guess i'll tape it down then. im just curious of whether or not it'll stay put since it looks old and all.

and oh, its not a replica, its made with polyurethane, its just an older model of the spoiler that doesnt have drilled holes.

its not like i dont want to, a lot of ppl want them and therefore its good business
but i can't do it myself, and the cost to make it would probably be too expensive for me. im thinking it wont be made for at least $200 dollars each, plus i have to make like at least 7 of them to be considered made replicas. i made a group buy offer before, but it seemed like i couldnt get it up to 7 people...

I hope those double-sided tape you already have on isn't some 99c brand. If it is, buy the 3M RED double-sided tape. Those things HOLD.

It has to be the 3M outdoor heavy duty tape which looks gray and has a red backing.

Technically, yes. Tinted headlights reduce the amount of light broadcast, even if it is just a little.

I've been pulled over for tinted tail-lights and the smoked covers over them. Cops are not a fan. If you tint them, don't over do it. :)

its illegal, but i see it around all the time, i guess you kinda have to know what you are doing, dont make it so obvious

and i highly dont recommend putting tint over ur headlights, you wont be able to see anything. however, i have blackhousings for sale
    http://www.vvti.net/forums/showthread.php?t=14710

sorry, i cant post the sale on this forum because i don't have enough posts yet. ]=

It's one of those things that if you do it just a little, chances of getting bothered by the police is pretty slim. Mine was a little more noticeably black. :D

I wouldn't suggest anything darker than 50% if you do tint them.

Also Burk, cops aren't gay, they are enforcing code that exists for a reason. Just a note.

Just remember, you need to pull the spoiler up a little more when you actually do it. Your picture shows the trunk "deck" at 3 o'clock and the spoiler pointing to 9 o'clock (It's actually just a lip & not a spoiler at this point). When you finish, the spoiler should be pointing to between 10 & 11 o'clock.
