CAI and oil cap are here.

will do the install, including proper photo doccumentation in the morning.

fit and finish on the TRD parts is excertional. they appear to be top quality parts. hopefully the install will go smoothly.

i intend to use the VSV bracket and see how annoying the clicking is. its just too pretty a bracket to waste...

Ya the ticking isnt very bad. And the install is pretty straight foreward on the CAI. Took me less then an hour i think, and i like to take my time when it comes to workin on stuff.

Sounds sweet. I'll post my impressions later, after a few days of living with it.

ALSO-----> big thumbs up to Ted Roach, the TRD parts supplier I used. Ordered Sunday night/monday morning, had confirmation via email with a tracking # monday, and the parts are on the car friday. great price, fast service. highly recomended.

OK ladys and gentlemen, i put 130 miles on the car today, and the bottom line is if you are at all enthusiastic about your car you have got to have this part. The CAI completly changes the character of the car.

under 3k rpm its pretty much the same just the smallest hint of extra growl. lean on it in the upper RPM range and wow thats nice. while the butt dyno dosn't register any big HP gains, it SOUNDS like about a 40 horse gain :) actually there is a bit more in the top end, while a 1-2 chirp was always a chirp, the 1-2 chirp is now a clear (short, but clear) squeal of the tires.

This is a "well worth it" mod.

got a tip to add another/larger o ring on the cap so the TRD logo sits square, so thats my next project. :)

Let me know if you accomplish this, I squared it up just for the pics and tightened it later.

looks good... ok so i like my cruise control and all but i must say the under hood picks look much cleaner without that bullky speed control box.
