    TRD CAI install trouble.....need help

If anybody here has installed their TRD CAI by themselves can they tell me how they took off the VSV mounting screw??? I pretty much did everything I could too it, and still it don't budge (spent like an hour and half). Also, is this a normal screw that I can get at a hardware shop?? I'm thinking about just cutting it and just replacing the screw.

It is pretty hard, I thought I stripped it but didn't and drove around with it dangling by a rubber band for a couple of hours.

Just get a vice and use the right head to take it off.

I have the TRD CAI instruction manual and it says to remove the all the connections to the switch and place it in a vice. Remember to connect the correct vaccume line to it when you are done.

Yup went to the dealer and got the damn screw taken off. Came home, and finished the rest of the install today and wow, it sounds great. :)

It's real easy when using the right head and a vice. How'd the install go btw other than that?

I used a small set of needle nosed vise grips. Came right off. I've installed 3 TRD CAI's...no trouble with any of them.

I used a needle nose vise grip too....but I think on the first turn of the screwdriver I tried a little too hard and then I screwed up the tread. But yeah everything else was fine, now I'm just debating on whether to get a bypass valve or not.
