    Transmission Fluid!

Could someone help me out here? -

I meant to change my engine oil but I think I drained the transmission oil. Is the transmission oil plug the screw on the flat pan? If it is, then I drained my transmission oil :x !

My manual says that Toyota brand ATF T-IV transmission fluid is recommended. How important is that?

The flat black pan on the bottom of your engine is the engine oil pan. If you're still not sure, what color was the fluid you drained out?

Tranny fluid is usually red or green correct? I don't know what color it is for the Corolla as I haven't even had to change my regular oil yet.

Automatic tranny fluid is red usually I know. But I'm using RedLine MT-90 Synthetic for manual transmission and it's yellowish like regular oil. I don't know if that's across the board for all oils.

I called the dealership and they said I could use any Dexron ATF fluid. I didn't want to take chances so I just bought the Toyota brand Type T fluid..

Hey King, I have a 5 spd too and ive been wanting to change my tranny fluid for a while. If you did it yourself could you give me a simle DIY thing. You dont have to go into great detail, just something quick and simple and i should understand.

You used the Redline MT-90 right? it seems like thats what everyone is using so im gona go ahead and get some of that too.
