Bitchen! Sean, I need to take u for a test drive so you can see how I bounce off the rev-limiter on my 1-2 shift at WOT... maybe this mod will fix that?

can u ask them about making a high stall Torque converter.. somebody gotta give Level 10 more competition, and it'll really help than they're on the west coast.

    TransGo tranny Mod... good stuff!

took my car to transgo at 7:30am... we didnt finish up till 5:30pm...

took plenty of photos... video tape everything... specs... etc...

    part 1 of the project...

increase pressure in the valve body...

stock is at around 135-145psi... we up that to 235psi... for 1-2 shift... etc...

all i can say is that... when this kit... comes out... ne reg. joe can install this... so freakin easy...

make some holes smaller... make some holes bigger... change some springs... and ur done...

ne ways... ALL THE SHIFTS HAS BEEN FIRMED UP... AND SHIFT TIME HAS BEEN SHORTENED!!! NO MORE SLIPPIN ON THE TRANNY @ ALL!!!

now i can run 7psi daily... and 13psi on high boost... i tried it and i was lighten up the tires from 1-2 shifts...

oh and btw... 13psi on a stock rolla is ok... at least for me it is...

well... some of the shifts was a bit harsh on light throttle... and that will be fixed in a few weeks... after i test drive this thing... and for them to get some new springs made...

right now... on light and heavy throttle... the shifts are med/hard...

what we wanna do is light throttle...soft shift... med throttle... med shift... and @ WOT bang bang shift... lol...

    ill keep u guys updated...

they dont make tc... i asked them about tc info for our cars... and they said to find a smaller tc and slap it in there... cuz if they just take our oem one and re-calibrate it... they just seal up some passages... thus makin the tc less effiecent...

ill ask them more about it later... i plan to ask them about tranny stuff and internal stuff... the owner got hook ups...

and i might be getting my car dynoed pretty soon... finally...

Thats awesome and good news for us automatic owners who want to do some decent work.

Is there a price range for this?

I'm glad to hear that its an easy install. Let us know when you get pictures up.

yea he tells me that this mod will double the torque handling of the tranny... give or take a few percent...

price range? shouldnt be much... check out transgo's other products... they dont cost that much...

i couldnt take any pictures... its confidential... they need to use it for their stuff... ppl like to copy their work.. etc...

but for level10 chargin a arm and a leg for valve body upgrade... like 500? its a bit too much...

guys at transgo been around for more then 40? 50 years? they know wut they are doing... they know their valvebody like inside out...

none of the shifts chirp tires... cuz if thats the case on low tq power cars... ur basically just lockin up the gears/tires... thats why it chirps...

    1) locking up the wheel.... causin tire to drag... and chirp... dats the bad chirp...

    2) wheel spinin fast, loosin traction... dats the good chirp...

um... transgo is a manufactor... they distrubute their product to tranny shops... so... if u want a kit... u have to get it via internet or through a tranny shop... we are still trying to work out the bugs.

so yes they sell it as a kit... i think i mentioned that already... -.- its a diy kit.

so NO u can not go in and have them install it.

and even if you have a tranny shop do it for you-the mechanic also has to be familiar with the transgo kit, the parts, and how it works...the chances of finding a reliable place, or a place thatll even do it are slim...

um... lets see... dropin the pan... removing the valve body... replacing some parts... and enlarge some holes... make some holes smaller... put everything back...

takes less the 3 hrs total... it took them 30 minutes.

oh haha... yea it was interesting to see how they do it...

they plug a "large" hole with a "plug" and hammer it in... and the plug already have a hole... and if the hole needs to be bigger... just drill it out with the drill bit they provided with the kit...
