    Tranny

92 corolla wiht 170000 miles. Tranny is has problem reversing. When put in Drive it goes but when in reverse it seems to not wat to move, It does but feels like its not catching and feels like its slipping. Is it the tranny or the torque converter.

I know on domestics the tranny shifting bands can become misaligned over lots of miles/time. Usually you use a special tool to align the gears again so it shifts correctly.

fluid is ok and everthing works. I just not sure if its the tranny or not becuase it drives fine. Its just when you put it in reverse it has problems.

I've got an auto tranny from a '97 Celica here, it'll probably work for you if you want it cheap.
