    Tranny swap question

hey i currently have a 3spd automatic in my beater, i was wondering if i can swap to a 4spd auto from the LE models by just swapping the tranny and ecu? my question is really would it be plug and play?

that's a good question. wonder if I could take out my tranny (auto) and put in a tranny that comes with the 1.8L (I have a 1.6L). Ie 4spd instead of the 3spd in there now.
    Only problem is finding one...

This is, of course only if I dont have enough money for the 4AGZE swap and manual conversion

It's either exactly the same or the difference is very minimal. If there are differences I can walk you though the wiring.

well i was actually lookin at the 4sp tranny that rollaryder was sellin, he has a rebuilt tranny, ecu that redlines 6500rpm and a torque converter, i figure i'd build up the tranny before puttin in turbo.
