    Tranny question help please!

    I need to replace my transmission and i was wondering a few things. will any transmission swap in perferctly in my 99 rolla as long as its from a 98-02rolla? just wondering since i know the 01 and 02 rollas have a dif engine just wanna make sure there the same tranny, oh yeah its for an automatic? second thing is im thinking about doing the swap myself. does anybody know what i need to replace it and how to step by step thing, and if its worth doing it myself? just wonderin thanks!

    check the driver side dooor... for the sticker....

    if it says 245e then ur fine... if not... not too sure if it will bolt up correctly... it could be a 244... but it should bolt up the same... but just have less clutch packs then the 245..

    All transmissions from 98-02 will fit up. In my long quest of preparing to do my 5spd swap from my auto I learned more than I EVER wanted to about Corolla brackets, transmissions, ECU's (98-99), cables, pedals, shifters... blah blah blah... lol

    Everything should be good to go and if you are doing a lateral move from say a 98-99 to 98-99 - there shouldnt be a single issue.
