    I agree, will be a very interesting legal battle with some very big implications for Toyota if they lose... hopefully Toyota didn't rip-off their patent...

    Toyota is a big automaker and a case such as this it quite big and knowing how they work is something that i am sure they will take care of soon enough. but i don't think its a matter in which it will affect toyota in such a big way. the do have a lot of power but how they work with it can be something totally different.

    you already know whos going to win. toyota won the battle against the name Lexus back in the late 80s from Lexis Co. and now toyota has hybrids on the street. so whos going to win anyways?

    Well, if the other company really does own the patent for the technology (and they can prove that it is a valid patent that was filed before Toyota can prove they we'r using the technolog), then Toyota might be out of luck on this one...

    But, if you read the entire article, Toyota has a counter suit questioning the validity of the patent...

    So it will be interesting, to say the least...
