    Philly Korean's 1992 Toyota Paseo

I just wanted to give the Toyota Paseo a nice recognition lol. I was surprised that many people have never heard of it. It wasn't all that fast or sporty but it is very fuel efficient and has it's own aftermarket support (however little available)

sorry if it's too big but i havn't been able to crop or shrink it down.

I'll start by posting my 1992 Toyota Paseo

It is a unique platform, but that's also why there are no aftermarket parts for it, even now after it's been over 10 years. I don't like those wheels imo. What's the use for offset like that?

rollatuner110 added 1 Minutes and 25 Seconds later...

btw, you can't fit a 2zj in that small engine compartment. I suggest you invest in another car if you want power.

there's a guy here that has a heavily modded paseo. the thing is absolutely amazing. chrome & purple everywhere. I think he's pushing like 160HP to the wheels N/A with the 5E-FE

    Wheels, and future plans

The wheels are bootleg Daytons and it's meant for lowriders but when i bought the car the owner gave me the wheels, yea i didn't like them too much either, the suspension can't handle such tires so I have on stock steelies right now.

There is SOME aftermarket support for the Paseo. not too much but they have body kits, clutches, intake, exhaust turbos, spoilers, carbon fiber and other specific items as well as universal items. But most of the time I see a lot of Starlet conversions even a few AE-86 RWD conversions and MR2's being used in this car.

I was thinking a 7mgte swap because the older supra engines were not as big as the 2jz but we will see.

If all else fails I will probably convert this to RWD and get the 4A-GEU Toyota Sprinter, Trueno engine swap done on it.

Here's a Paseo that I did a 4EFTE (1.3 Turbo from Starlet GT) swap on a while back:

    Enjoy! :)

For the cleanest look with the FMIC piping, I cut, shortened, and rewelded the turbo outlet pipe at a different angle.

I wonder if I can drop my motor out the bottom without a dual post.

Sure, just get it up on jackstands (you need about 24" of clearance) and drop it right on the floor and then slide it out.
