    Too Thick?

When I look at my new Corolla, standing next to it, it looks cool.
However, if I see someone else's Corolla cruising down the street, it looks too fat (thick) and narrow.
Am I the only one who is feeling this way?

lol yea thats how it is.. Cuz they made it taller, without makin it virtually any wider  ... I guess if ur car is lowered it helps make it look better...

LMAO Do it! Do it! Chop tha top! LOL. Wow thats a good pic zero I didn't know our cars look like that compared to others! I know when you tint the car the roof looks lower and the visors also help it out. I went right out and got tinted just so it would look better.

thats one DIY I wont be doing for you guys!

Unless I get in an accident and they need the jaws of life to tear the roof off. Then I'll get pics for you guys.

I dont mean going convertible though. I mean chopping the roof pillars and then lowering them. So you drop the roof say 5". then you just lower the mounting brackets for the seats a bit and you are set. The only problem is that the back and front windows will ALWAYS be a custom job and will be over $1000 each!! The side windows I think you just wont roll them up as high as before, but they should still work.

here is Zero's car with about a 3" chop off the top. You can see its now a little lower than the camry, but not as low as the lude. the original pic is on the right for those that cant tell.

so are ya gonna do it now??

I didnt change the width of the pic at all, so that is what it would really look like if it had of been chopped.

yea, ive noticed that about this car, when you sit in it you feel so high up, like your driving a friggin truck! my mom's subaru legacy even feels so much more lower to the ground then the corolla! maybe toyota was taking into consideration all the old folks who get the car, nice upright seats for their backs!

I just dont like how the seats are "bench" type positioning. But I find my seat deosnt go vertical enough for me. So I have the front slanted as low as it can go with the back up high so it makes the back of the seat as vertical as it can get.

looks like a batman style car with the small side windows.

The chop top would need metal bars welded on the bottom to keep the top of the car from folding in. It would be too weak with no roof.
