Tokico + Tein H-Tech = Two Thumbs Up

We just installed some Tokico HP struts and Tein H-Tech springs on my '94 Corolla today. It went pretty smoothly, except for the front strut mount not properly sitting on the Tokico struts (a lip , like a 100th of an inch was catching, but we grinded it down just enough and it fixed the problem). I also had to replace some other parts in the process, namely the rear strut mounts and the rear sway bar links (they we're rusted, and the bolt we're just turning freely inside them, could only get them off by cutting them). So it cost me a few extra dollars, but its to be expected on an 11 year old car.

The car is noticeably lower all around, not slammed, but definitely lowered, and I find it looks great how it is (now I just need 16" rims to fill in the fenders). Took it on it's first drive, and I was immediately amazed at how responsive the steering got, and the car stays alot flatter through turns, and doesn't dive nearly as much as it used to when braking. All in all, I am very impressed with the handling, no complaints so far. As for the ride quality, its actually a little better than it was before (I had 2 blown rear struts, which made for an awful ride), but its definitely harsher than a regular Corolla with good struts. All in all, the ride quality is still quite good, and i am very happy with it.

Also, on a side note, even though Tein says the H-Tech are noly for the 98-02 Corolla's, they fit perfectly well on the 93-97 and you do NOT have to cut the bump stops for the 93-97 Corolla's (unlike the 98-02's).

As the title says, 2 thumbs up for that combination.

About the bumpstops, I just got S-techs with Tokicos installed and I will have to shave the bumpstops. I'm getting it done next week, so I'll post back with what the final solution is.

Yes, I want pics! Suspension is next on my list, starting with struts/springs, and probably TRD rims, so I'd like to get some ideas.
