those are soft.depending on how hard the tread is when you push it is the easiet way to tell if they are able to move a bit easier than hard you can tell the difference. for instance get a goodyear integrity tire and a assurance triple tread, comparing two tires such as that you can tell the difference regardless of tread style.

General Exclaim UHP. Had 'em on my car for almost a year now, and they've given me ZERO problems. Fairly quiet, definitely grippy, and have TONS of tread left after several thousand miles (like 15000 at least!).

Falken Azenis RT-615's would be great for a WRX. That's what I would run.

I only drive it once or twice a week so they're excellent!

I'll take it out for a few autoX runs this summer but I need to get another set of rims to mount advans on for the track. I want to run streets of willows this july.

15,000 miles, I'd certainly hope you still had a bunch of tread left. :)

Granted my tires are truck tires, but I've got 45k on my BF Goodrich on the old rims, and they've got 25% tread left. And they are the best performing AT tires I've ever used. I'm not sure how that relates to performance car tires, but definately don't use tires if they are super high performance and croak after so little mileage.

I'll never buy Yoko tires again for a daily driver car.

But I love the Generals. These things are great.

My last set of RT215 lasted about 9k worth of autoX/daily driving.. I think I squeezed 11k out of them before I actually replaced them.
