    Tires for slipstreams?

Hello everyone. Just bought some rota slipstreams in 15x6.5 in black. Going to be lowering on tein s tech with tokico shocks. Right now, I need tires. The guy at JUSTTIRES told me to get my drop first so I don't have any fitment issues. Anybody can recommend a good place to get tires. Any suggestions on what kinda tires are good? PLEASE PLEASE. Need some help. Thnx. Looking for tires around 300 bux.

    205/50/15 or 195/55/15.
depends on what you want for a tire. Are you goning to be auto-xing? daily driving? Spinning tires? Dragging? Driving in snow and ice? Driving thru the desert? driving thru a dessert like banana split? Garaging the whole car?
I have 2 kuhmo ecsta ASX in 17s on the front. they are good for the price i think so far. i gotta get new ones for the back now. I didnt like my nankangs. I did at first but they wore out QUICK!!! the kuhmos have a 420 treadwear rating.

i heard the falken ziex were REALLY noisy on the highway, thats the main reason i didnt get those. If they werent gunna be noisy, then i woulda gotten the Ziex's. But the ASX's i have are pretty grippy too.

It's basically going to be for daily driving. I gotta drive far to my new job. So im gonna want something that lasts. I'm going towards durability than performance.

the higher the tread rating the longer tires last. i've had my paradas for a year and two thirds, the rating is 300 on them, and they are about 2 thirds done. i drive it pretty hard though.

Parada's suck, they have great grip, but the 300 treadwear is BS, ive had it for 1.5 years and i have to get new tires already.

if you want durability and long lasting maybe you should think about just leaving your steelies on and factory tires.

Ive had hose tires and they suck horribly.

Had them too, and they are horrible also. VERY loud. Good grip, but they sound like your driving a tank. Wet Traction leaves something to be desired. Good 'Show' Tire I suppose.

Im now on NITTO 555s and they are the best tire yet. Cheaper than Parardas and around the same as Ziex. Quiet, great traction and relatively cheap.

Uh, yeah. Paradas were built to show off and Falkens just suck ass.

I can see your point though.

umm yeah nittos are nothing but show tires. form before function. if anything i'll give u that their pretty to look at.

oh yeah all the D1 cars rave about nitto tires. Their the best!!!

Name one respectable team in any form of motorsports that uses nitto tires.

I am comparing Nitto 555s to Paradas and Ziex 512s. Not Yokohama as a whole vs NITTO as a whole.

And I am also talking from expierence w/ each tire, are you?

The Falken Ziex 512 are ALL SEASON tires ranging in size from sized 14"-18" and a ~400 tread wear rating ofcourse it wont compare to the Parada sized 16"+ OR Nitto555 also 16+ and both with a 300 treadwear rating. You're not even comparing tires of the same class.

Now I do agree Yokohama USA have some damn crappy tires, if they ever get their shit together and bring over some good Advans, then they may get their crediability back.

And Nitto tires are mainly used on NHRA, maybe if my arms ever get too tired and I become a drag racer, i'll use them.

perilli pzero nero M&S. i believe it has a 400tread wear rating and hear nothing but good things.

go with the ASXs...you will like them...i got discounttire to price match tire rack. at 62 a tire for 205/40/17s itll be cheaper for a 15 inch size...came out to about 200 for two total. (with two free replacement certs) so for 4...you do the math...

For those who say Falkens suck, find me a better tire for 35 bucks (14").. ;)

The downside is that my fronts are trashed after only 9000 miles...but that's my fault. ;)
