    Tire Size

I'm going to be switching to 16" rims instead of 17" because the roads up in Idaho are way to rough and the Tires get worn down to fast.

What size tire do I need for 16" rims. I know on my 17"'s now are 205/40/17.

Also, when I get my Shocks and Struts for my 02 corolla soon, will I have to roll my fenders in order for them not to rub, All I'm getting is some GR2's and H&R springs. I think thats right, I will have to double check.

    Thanks for the help guys

205/45/16 for 16" rims, that size is rather expensive.

You won't rub if you get the right offset, +43+, I believe TRD 16" rims are +47 or +48.

well my whole goal is not to spend so much money on tires when needed. So do I need more offset on the rims. I know mine right now are +42

On my 8th gen - I had 16"s (16x7 with a 205.45R16 tire) with a 38mm offset (closer to the fender) and I got rubbing on bigger bumps. I was lowered on TRD springs with GR2 struts ~1" to 1.25" drop. With a 42mm offset (closer to centerline) should be safe from rubbing with those springs (~ drop a little more than TRD springs). If you do rub, it will probably be close to the piece on the mudflaps (if you have them) - no big deal, just cut that piece off, don't really need that little bit. On mine, I just let the tire grind down the mudflap portion for a little bit, so I saw exactly where it was rubbing and trimmed accordingly.
