Engine timing belt?

    03's have a timing chain.. and yes, they are interference engines
    if the chain goes.. the rest of the engine may also.

    your corolla has timming chain ,, so your rolla will last forever (100k+)
    relax you worry too much just change your oil every 3k miles

    timing belt?

    2003 corolla. just wanted to know if the timing belt breaks will it cause damage to my valves???

    So, does the timing chain ever need to be replaced (for a 98-02 Corolla)? If so, after how many miles should this be done? :confused:

    ^^^When it starts rattling. Until then it is fine. In five years as a toyota tech, I have yet to replace a chain on a 1zz. No one else in the shop has either.
