    This seems interesting.

I got really bored today so I did some calculation to pass the time. I wanted to see the power to weight ratio of several cars, especially the 2005 Scion TC. Here is what I got.

    1. Honda Civic EX Coupe
    1.7L vtec
    75mm bore x 94.4mm stroke
    127 HP 114 lb.-ft.
    2597 LBS
Power to weight ratio of 20.5 lbs to 1 hp

    2. Honda Civic Si
    2.0L vtec
    86mm bore x 86mm stroke
    160 HP 132 lb.-ft.
    2782 LBS
Power to weight ratio of 17.3 lbs to 1 hp

    3. Toyota Celica GT
    1.8l vvt-i
    79mm bore x 91.5mm stroke
    140 HP 125 lb.-ft.
    2425 LBS
Power to weight ratio of 17.3 lbs to 1 hp

    4. Toyota Celica GTS
    1.8l vvtl-i
    82mm bore x 85.4mm stroke
    180 HP 130 lb.-ft.
    2500 LBS
Power to weight ratio of 13.9 lbs to 1 hp

    5. Scion TC
    2.4l vvt-i
    88.5mm bore x 96mm stroke
    160 HP 163 lb.-ft.
    2905 LBS
Power to weight ratio of 18.2 lbs to 1 hp

The Scion TC has to pull more weight than the all of the cars (except the Civic EX) but it has the most torque at 163 lb.-ft.

If you average weight per torque and weight per horsepower you get this:

    Toyota Celica GT-S....16.6
    Scion tC......................18.0
    Toyota Celica GT........18.4
    Toyota Corolla XRS.....18.4
    Honda Civic Si............19.2
    Toyota Matrix XRS.....19.3
    Toyota Corolla S........20.0
    Toyota Matrix XR.......21.2
    Honda Civic EX..........21.7
    Scion xA...................22.0
    Scion xB...................22.5

if you add 20 lbs for the s/c, weight = about 2545

with hp ratings at 166 and torque at 145
15.3lbs per hp and17.6lbs per torque

and the average of the lbs per torque and hp =16.4....... which puts it at the top of that list up above....kick ass
