    This Bomz racing intake

    yesterday i went to my friends house and asked his dad if he can install the intake he checked it out and said the intake is weird and could not install it so he just asked me to take it to the shop because there are some wires that are complicating i have a 2001 toyota corolla s and have a bomz racing air intake that i bought from ebay whats the problem?

    sensors most likely- you have to be very careful when making sure that all the sensors that were in the oem filter box are now placed into the intake tube-those usually are the MAF sensor-that screws in- there is a possiblity that the intake just doenst come with the necessary "holes" -i know injen intake is the most sensor friendly-but they are about 180 bucks...

    i went to the shop yesterday and the mechanic said that the piping will fit but the air filter doesn't work the mechanic said they gave me the wrong air filter i have a 4 inch performance filter so he said i just need to order a 2 or 3 inch filter how much will that be? and the user on ebay that i bought my intake from is bestcarpart..

    gotta link man? thats odd for them to send a 4 inch filter-VERY ODD indeed! anyway, 3 inch cones are available all over ebay-and if you want to get it fast-go to local pepboys, autozone, and they'll have some for about 25-29 bucks...

    Yes, the filter is like 4" but if you tighten it against the pipe, it actually works and fits. I was very surprised myself to see it that way.

    yeah-one time i tried to get a 4inch coupler to stay tight on a 2 inch tube-took a while to make it fit-but it works!

    i just bought a 2.5 inch air filter from ebay since the 4 inch didn't fit on the pipe

    jeez-lets hope thats not "too" small... mmmm..are you POSITIVE you got an intake thatll fit 01? b/c i dont see any on ebay-they are all for 98-00-unless thatll fit as well...

    yea i bought the 01-02 bomz intake from ebay like 4 months ago they just gave me the wrong air filter which was 4 inches and now im buying another air filter which is 2.5 inches
