    This air intake system

I recently just bought this intake from ebay i think its a bomz racing intake and i heard from people like from corolla-racing.com and they said it doesn't it fit. But when i went to the bomzracing.com and i saw the intake it was applicatable for my car. I have 2001 corolla s auto trans. So is it true that this intake will not fit my car? Thanks. Well heres the intake pic

I have a 2002 corolla S. It fit in my car, but it was long so it pretty much sucked up all the hot air coming from the exhaust manifold.

But I used my stock black rubber piping with it and made it into a custom CAI for my car.

so what any suggestions shud i put on the intake and leave it how it is or get a custom piping i dun think i can afford that would it be okay if i just leave the intake and not put a custom piping also is it bad for having all the hot air sucked up from the exhaust mainifold?

Umm...All up to you. I believe i had a little better performance, and the car sounded way better with it Short. It was because my custom CAI is kinda ghetto (even though it looks clean) so the piping is longer and smaller. The CAI gave me better MPG and the Short Ram gave slightly better performance. If you want performance spend the dough to get something better like Injen, Aem, Weapon R, and EL Prototypes's CAI. If u just want something and didn't care too much about performance then just get the intake u were asking about. You could do a CAI with the intake u were asking about by using the stock black rubber intake tubing with the metal intake pipe. But u'd have to relocate the battery or extend the piping somehow by 3 inches. I did all that with no extra $ spent.

O and...By the way...When your engine sucks up a lot of hot air, it increases fuel. It does the same with a lot of cold air. Yes, the ECU does that to prevent engine damage.

    i want it!

It should fit. Either way it is going to breathe better than a stock air box.

I disagree.....it may breathe a little better, but its breathing more hot air than the stock setup, which defeats the purpose.

Exactly....go get adjustable piping, and extend your intake as far down as you can. Relocating the battery makes the entire install a lot easier.
    Check out www.darkravers.net for pics.

dude install it... yer not gonna kill yer car
if you see decrease on MPG and things like that you could always unistall-it.
also if you want to be on the safe side and get some of the hot air away from the intake. get some thermalwrap and wrap your exhaust headers, also there's a great injen heatshield for short ram intakes it'll help out too... it runs for about 40 bucks. (but its not necesary)
