Think I have a break fluid leak

about 3 - 4 weeks ago i got a break light come on while driving, its been close to a year since i had all breaks checked and replaced, so i figured that the oem pads are wearing thin in the front.

I know that with extra break wear the fluid level goes down, so I poured some more so it went back to max ark from min. Today the light come on again, i checked the level and it is back to min mark.

I'm low on cash, just paid 180 for new exchaust and oil change all in one... and I need to save for timing belt replacement. I can do front pad change myself but if its something more serious like a leak or broken line I need to take it back to my mech and beg him to charger me discount rate.

It definitely sounds like a leak.

How do the brakes feel by the way, are they really soft?

no they still have fair resistance to them and the pedal don't drop all the way down to the floor, before I had them done i really needed to push down to get the car to stop now its medium soft going about half way down.

I need to do an experiment and pump the brakes for a while when car is parked and then look and see if there are any visible leaks.
