    The oddities of the CTS-V

    Apparently the car has 6 lug rims... I understand it puts out 400hp, but that doesn't necessarily mean it needed 6 lugs, does it? It just seems strange to me, because the owner won't be able to change the wheels very easily, making the car less desirable by autox and track day enthusiasts.

    I didn't know GM made the CTS-V for track use. I thought it was for executive wannabes who want a fast-ish, stylish, expensive-looking luxo-mobile. 3,500lbs for an AutoX car? Seems a half ton too heavy for my liking.

    Maybe 6 lugs so it can fit those retarded 26" rims designed for SUVs and Trucks?

    People auto-x M3s, M5s and other luxo-sport sedans, so why not this? It comes with a 6 speed manual, so it's not your typical Caddy.

    I'm not saying the CTS-V would be the best car to use, or that I would even persoanlly use it for that purpose, but if you're going after BMW M cars, at least give your product a leg to stand on when it comes to one of the most common modifications out there- changing the stock wheels.

    Even if you're just buying the car as a status symbol... what's the first thing someone does when they buy a nice car nowadays? Throw some 22" spinners on there. lol I dunno... maybe it'll be able to use truck wheels.

    The way I see it the less lug the car the higher performance..
    single lug C hubs = F1 cars, JGTC, etc.
    10lug = Trucks and buses

    The integra type-r is five lugs and the normal teggies are 4. I know the "less lugs the better" philosophy is all the rage, but it just seems to not be a very celebrated application on street cars.
