    The GasTank Cavern (56k)

    At work...but as soon as I'm back at my computer in a couple of hours pictures will be posted of the gastank hole. So be ready. On other news...tank got here yesterday...after we made the realization that Toyota had to get one from manufacturing...they didn't ship it out until Wednesday...Toyota (the good folks they are) paid the charges for Saturday delivery to my dad's house. Tank came in around 10:00...got her put in...and proceeded to put a bunch of miles...looking like this --> :D

    So they dont have those gas tanks on supply? So as of right now, there isnt a gas tank available for a tundra in the entire world? :)

    I couldn't imagine that a Tundra fuel tank would be a stock item for a dealership..not replaced quite as often as most parts.. :p

    At every dealership...the gastank for a Tundra is apparently not an in-stock item. Special order only. Through Travis...we managed to get one for $430 shipped...where the dealerships were asking $606...just for the tank.

    Tank was ordered Saturday night.
    Sunday & Monday (president's day) = Toyota Closed.
    Tuesday...no order activity...
    Wednesday - Checked status of order...Order status was, "Shipped from Manufacturing."
    Thursday - No tracking number update.
    Friday - Called for tracking number...got Fedex tracking number...scheduled delivery date Feb 25th.

    So apparently the Tundra gas-tank was just not available at the moment. Only cost me an extra day though.

    Lol...and would you want to pay shipping on a gastank ordered from Japan? :p

    I was amazed when we got to his dad's house to do the install and I'm like whoa dude wtf did a squirrel shoot through ur tank? but it was a fun install, I enjoyed it.
