    THD 5% on Pioneer Decks?

I was reading the manual for my Premier head unit (DEH-P740MP) and it claims "no more than 5% total harmonic distortion".
I'm not an audio expert or anything but isn't 5% THD really really bad?
I was thinking of getting a sub w/amp but now I'm thinking of getting a 4-channel amp for the speakers and forgetting about a sub for now.
I want to be certain that if I do get a 4-channel amp I won't be getting 5% THD. Is that possible??

yes in the audio grand scheme of things 5% is bad. 10% is audible to almost anyone, and 5% to many. two things to keep in mind though 1) it lsts this as a maximum, it is likley not to be that high if the volume isnt cranked. 2) accoustics inside cars suck so bad a high THD likley wont make any diffrence anyway.
