    Tensioner Assembly Leaking

I just noticed that my tensioner is leaking oil from the shock that is built onto it. It also makes a rattling noise. Does anyone know if the tensioner is suppose to vibrate? When I put the car in gear and look at it, it will be vibrating. Maybe this is what is casusing my car to vibrate while driving?

It's a $49 part from Advance Auto Parts compared to over $150 at the dealership. Only took me an hour to replace mine with hand tools. I would change it out to be safe.

Possibly. I had a spring-loaded one on the old car. Right before it went I had a fair amount of vibration that I initially attributed to a worn motor mount. It was the tensioner.
