    Temperature needle problem

    Hey guys, how's it going.

I have a small problem with the stock temperature gauge on my '95.
Recently my radiator broke, so I took it to repair and got the top part changed to bronze instead of plastic. By that time I changed my gauges to indiglo ones. I know that my temp needle would be at the middle after around 20 mins the car being running (with coolant, I'm down in Panama, average temp is 85ºF).

After I installed the radiator the needle won't go up past two dots (near cold position), but the fan is kicking in and shutting off well, so I think the temp sensor is ok. I even checked it with a DMM and seems fine.

Does any1 know where to set the needle when the car is completely cold, as to recalibrate the temperature gauge? I've setted it at the first "C" line, but as I said, it won't go up past 2 dots, even after running the car for about an hour. BTW, I don't have a thermostat. The past owner took it out I guess. I noticed it didn't had it when I took it's cover off.

    Thanks a lot guys!

You need a thermostat for it to get to normal operating temparature. With you changing the radiator it is probably mre efficient noe therefore not heating up at all.
