Engine Tach pin location

    Tach pin location

    i have a pivot tach that was installed by some people here...they did a bad job and of course the readings are all wrong. can yall give me the pin location on the instrument cluster and which connector it is and the color. its been annoying me a long time like 2 years!

    sorry to ask, but whats a pivot tach? those big autometer ones?

    nope there not the monster tach...there the worlds lights tachometer....they are made from Japan from SPW industries. I bought the take brand new for 300 dollars.

    Hayne's manual says black....in pin number 3.

    if i remember right, its the black wire with white line...or the white wire with black line. one of those i believe. its of course on one of those harnesses that plug into the gauge cluster.
