Exactly as he said. Simply replace the old cluster with a cluster that has a tach. Everything is plug and play.

    Tach install Help?

I have been sifting through posts and links on SEVERAL different Toyota forums, and no one seems to have ever actually answered this. Where can I get a tach signal on a 2001 Corolla?!?!?!? I have read that you can get it from the diagnostic port, but I tried getting signal and nothing works. I know there is a source behind the dash, but no one has EVER specifically said where it is. Please respond ASAP...

I thinks rainbow_star here (if I'm not wrong) has an aftermarket tach installed. PM him.
