    Sythetic or OEM ATF oil?

    Hi all, I'm new here.

I have a question in mind. Can our tranny take in Type-IV compatible oil such as Amsoil or should we just stick with the propriety OEM from Toyota?

Will there any advantage of using Synthetic at all? There are many claims by Amsoil but I do not know whether to trust them or not.

    Thanks for reading.

the people who use synthetic usually see smoother shifts. personally i think the OEM stuff is fine.

If it were manual, I would highly suggest Pennzoil Synchromesh. But for auto, I dunno.

Any updates? I know Amsoil says their Universal ATF is compatible with our transmissions, but did Toyota certify the Universal ATF? I am a bit hesitant using a Universal ATF.
