    Supercharger Warranty

If I get a Supercharger for my car and install it with just the factory intake, will this void my warranty??

Take some time and read through the older posts. You will find most of the questions you are looking for are there somewhere. :)

And to answer your question. You will void your warranty if you use anything else but the stock intake with the S/C.

    Re: Supercharger Warranty

If you get the S/C installed by an authorized installer (i.e. dealer), then TRD will warranty the S/C, not Toyota. Toyota's warranty gets voided the second that the S/C is installed. In other words, the TRD warranty will replace Toyota's warranty assuming that your S/C is installed by a "qualified" installer. Otherwise, I would bet that all warranties are off.

he didnt specify the trd s.c. he just said a supercharger. in which case no, toyota will not warranty a s.c. unless it is a trd s.c. in which case trd warranty applies.

Well my car has a TRD s/c that was installed by the delear. It is currently at the dealer having the engine taken apart to find out what is wrong (it died Fri. night). Hopfully by tommorow they will know whats wrong, and hopfully it will be covered, I have 30,000 miles. I was going to take it in this week for the service so I could sell it, put a deposit on a Mazda3 hatch a month ago, but if this has to come out of my pocket I might have to hold off.

As far as why I'm selling I want somthing differnt. I know the Mazda will be slower than what I have know but I've had to much troble with my Corolla, CEL mostly. I will say my dealer has been exellent and always givin me a loaner and I would get and recommend Toyota to others. And I will not be parting it out if i sell, all or none, sorry.

Thanks for that clarification. I was just guessing that he was referring to the TRD S/C.

you will not void your warranty if you install the trd supercharger yourself but you wont get a warranty as good as if toyota does it for you. you will only get a one year warranty with the install not sure on the millage look up old posts i copied a link showing all the warranty info. having toyota do it is the best bet. especially if your car has only a few miles. if you have like 50K you powertrain warranty is almost up anyway just do it your self cause trd only keeps the factory warranty and thats it.my supercharger was installed with only 7K and i did not want to throw the warranty away.
and it only voids the engine part. the rest of your warranty is still in effect like the interoior electronics power windows and other junk.
