    supercharger, converter/test pipe 4 1zz-fe

I had a quick question about the 1zz-fe Corolla:

Which supercharger, besides TRD, if any, would fit the 1zz-fe (98-00)?

    and...

Does the test pipe (converter) for the '97 Corolla fit the '98? Or is there one available for
the 1zz-fe? No Emission testing where I'm at and I was thinking about putting one on.

    Thanks for your input.

PS-good to see the site back up!

I know! It's hard to find stuff online. I know of a couple of turbo's...which is always an option.
I don't have much experience with superchargers for any car and was wondering if any are compatible bolt-ons from the celica 1zz-fe or something.

not sure...i'd almost want to say go over to newcelica.org and ask them.

unfortunately, the aftermarket people never think of corollas...maybe we have 2 doors too many for their tastes?

I THINK blitz has a supercharger made for celicas. dont take it from me but the only way that i think itll work on your 98-00 is if you get the celicas or 03+ corollas intake manifold in first. I personally hate teh way our intake manifolds are made, how they're like all warped shaped and everything. you'll probably find luck at a junk yard.

also i just found this. theres an electric supercharger out there but i havent heard anyone useing one of these yet. check it out http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...&category=26261

If you do a little more research you will find that Blitz DOES make a supercharger for the 1zzfe. And it is for a Corolla, however this is the Japanese version and only one of the numerous corolla models. It should fit though, I have pictures of it installed on the japn model and they have the same setup. Both are mounted with the intake side forward and both have restricted space. I have a place that can actually get it for me, but unfortunately it costs ~3500 dollars(converted from yen and not to mention overseas shipping) and I don't have that money just laying around. Even if it fits I don't know an easy way to remap the fuel. This is going to get very costly. When you're done supercharging you'd spent enough for a 2zz swap. Not worth it. You can however custom mount an existing Toyota factory supercharger. It has already been done on other cars. The only two chargers I know of are the ones from the S/C Previa and the 88-89 MR2(AW11). Custom brackets will need to be the moun the charger in place. The AC may have to be removed, but the supercharger is small so it may be unnecessary. The Previa one is slightly larger so I don't know how that will work, but the AW one will work. For increased boost, you can upgrade the boost pulley. I think a few shop will fabricate one for you.

I'll prolly be doing this much later since my connection offered to do it for me if I can up with 4 large. I'll have my next car by then and my 98 rolla will be a long time project.
