    Suggestion on resonator

Hi I have a 03 corolla s auto. I'm thinking about putting a 2.25" pipe with a resonator but I would like an opinion if I should stick with my stock resonator or go aftermarket like magnaflow or other brand name? and I would like to know which one would give me a deep tone but not too loud?

I would go with a magnaflow since you are putting new piping already, also a magnaflow high flow cat.

make sure you get some sort of resonator. our cars are too loud and annoying without one especailly in the car while you are driving. my setup has a deep rumble during acceleration and hums up to 75 mph. after 75 mph it just gets more aggressive sounding. I noticed a big difference in exhaust tones when I had my header and midpipe changed

i love the way my car sounds without the resonator. I heard an 03 rolla with magnaflow with a resonator(stock res) and mine without and i liked the way mine sounded more. It's not too loud...but everyone's different

I went from two cats to one high flow cat. both O2 sensors are still in place. probably won't pass emissions, but I don't have to worry about it until 2007. Even if I happen across a smog checkpoint, I still technically have a cat so I won't be fined heavily. saved my old setup so when I do have to get it smogged, in about one hour I can switch everything out.

i didnt touch the cats. i just cut the pipe right before the resonator... so any of y'all that took out ur resonator and like it that way, i'd gladly take the resonator off ur hands
